Buy more credits (top-ups)
A top-up is a pack of AI credits you buy on top of your plan's monthly allowance. Only RealityCheck uses credits; everything else in BriefCatch is free.
How top-ups are used
- Top-up credits go into the same balance as your monthly credits.
- Your monthly credits are always used first, so a top-up is never used while monthly credits remain.
- Monthly credits expire after 60 days. Top-up credits expire 365 days after purchase.
Who can buy
- Individual plans: you buy your own top-ups.
- Team plans: owners and admins can buy top-ups.
- Members: members can't buy top-ups unless BriefCatch support has turned this on for your organization. Use Ask your admin to request more credits.
- Enterprise and court accounts: contact your account management team.
- Free trials: top-ups aren't available during a trial.
How to buy
- In the BriefCatch online app, go to AI Credits. Owners can also buy from Billing.
- Choose a credit pack. Packs and prices are shown in the app.
- Complete payment on our payment provider's page.
- You return to BriefCatch, and the credits are added to your balance.
If a top-up doesn't appear
- Payment confirmation can take a short time. Refresh the screen before trying again, because buying twice charges twice.
- "Top up unavailable" means purchases are paused for a short time during a payment provider issue. Try again later.
- If it still looks wrong, submit a support request with the time and the pack you bought. Never send card details to support.
