How to Use BriefCatch Express

Getting Started

BriefCatch Express is a web app that doesn't require any download or installation. To use BriefCatch Express, visit https://express.briefcatch.com/. 

Uploading Your Document

While on the Express page:

  1. Enter your work email (if you already have an account, you can click Sign In from the top navigation.)
  2. Click to upload your document, or drag your document into the upload box. 
  3. Alternatively, you can click Try a Sample Document, which will show suggestions on a sample document that we provide.
  4. Click Submit

BriefCatch Express will process your document and the results will be emailed to you, or available to download directly from the website.

Note: Your document must be in .docx format and under 250 KB.

Reviewing the Suggestions & Report

If the document wasn't offered as a download after submitting the form, check your email. The email includes a Suggestion Summary Report and an edited version of the document you submitted.

Open the attached document in Word to see the suggestions via tracked changes, with an explanation for each change in comments.

Make sure “Show Comments - List” or “Markup Options- Show Revisions Inline” are turned on.

You can go through each suggestion and decide to accept or reject the changes.

Security

We do not store, log, or retain any documents, or their contents, analyzed by BriefCatch Express. 

Unlock Unlimited Use

BriefCatch Express is limited to one use per email address. If you'd like to unlock unlimited use, along with access to the BriefCatch Word application, contact our sales team for more information.

If your organization already has an active enterprise subscription, you can login to remove any upload limitations.
