BriefCatch for Outlook is a Microsoft Outlook Office Add-in available on AppSource. Supported versions include:

  • Windows: Microsoft 365 Outlook (Version 16.0.11629 or newer)
  • Mac: Outlook for Mac (version 15.18 or later)
  • Outlook Online: Microsoft 365 Online via Outlook.com (Windows or Mac)

Note: Outlook Office add-ins require an Exchange account. Some builds of Outlook 2016 may offer limited or inconsistent support for Office Add-ins. We recommend using Outlook version 16.0.11629 or later (part of Microsoft 365) for full compatibility.

Security

Does BriefCatch for Outlook store my emails?

No. Email text is processed in RAM only and promptly cleared. No text from your emails are ever stored or cached.


Does BriefCatch for Outlook connect to external servers?

Yes. BriefCatch for Outlook is a cloud-based application and requires an internet connection to function. It connects securely to our servers to process documents and deliver real-time suggestions.


Are all connections encrypted?

Yes. End-to-End Encryption. AES-256 at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3).
