See our [BriefCatch Standalone: Enterprise Deployment & Installation](https://support.briefcatch.com/home/enterprise/briefcatch-standalone/deployment-installation?hsLang=en) guide for more information. ### Manual Installation (Retail/Professional Users) **Note:** Make sure all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) are closed before installing or updating BriefCatch Standalone. BriefCatch Standalone installs directly into Microsoft Word. To install BriefCatch Standalone: 1. Visit the [BriefCatch portal](https://www.briefcatch.com/standalone) and log in to your account. 2. Click the BriefCatch Standalone tab under the BriefCatch Software heading. Click the green Download BriefCatch button to save the BriefCatch installer to your computer. 3. Make sure all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) are closed before proceeding. 4. Open BriefCatchInstaller.exe and follow the prompts to install BriefCatch Standalone. 5. Open Word and ensure the BriefCatch S tab appears with the correct version installed. 1. Note: If prompted, click Install to confirm the installation. 6. In the BriefCatch S tab, click on About, then on Subscription Sign-In. 7. Enter your email address and password, then click OK. 8. Alternatively, you can download your license key, then click Install License. 1. Note: If manually installing a license key, you will have to refresh the license key when your subscription renews. 9.
