This guide walks you through launching BriefCatch 3 and setting up your account after installation. We recommend signing in with Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) for the fastest and most secure experience. Launching BriefCatch 3
Once installed, BriefCatch 3 appears on the Home tab in Word Ribbon. Simply click the icon to open the app and get started.
Authentication
The first time BriefCatch 3 is opened, you will need to sign in and authenticate. This can be done with Microsoft Single Sign-On (recommended) or by manually entering your email address and password.
Microsoft Single Sign-On
The recommended option is using Microsoft Single Sign-On, by clicking the "Sign in with Microsoft" button which will automatically sign you in, or if you're a new user, create an account using your Microsoft account information.
If you're an existing user, there's no further action required when using Microsoft SSO. Your account sign in will be handled automatically and you will be able to start using the BriefCatch 3 app.
If you're a new user, you will be directed to our website in your browser where you can complete the registration process. Once you've submitted your information, a team member will follow up with next steps.
Email & Password
If you're already created your account on our website, click "Sign in with email". Then enter your email address and password. This will log you in and allow you to access the BriefCatch 3 application.
If you're a new user, click on “Sign up for a new account!” which will open a registration page in your browser.
After entering their name and email, a verification email will be sent to the your email address with a link to confirm the registration and to set an account password.
After the verification process is complete, you can return to the BriefCatch application in Word, which will automatically log you in.
Note: If you don't have an active BriefCatch subscription, a team member will follow up to discuss the best path for you or your organization.
