Getting Started

To use the software, open Microsoft Outlook. BriefCatch works entirely within Outlook, allowing you to edit your email in real time.

To start using BriefCatch for Outlook, click on the BriefCatch icon from the Message tab when composing or replying to an email.

When BriefCatch is active, a side panel will appear, instantly offering suggestions to improve your email text!

Can't find the BriefCatch icon?

  • Navigate to Home > More apps and search for BriefCatch.
  • Check with your administrator to make sure you have access.
  • Review our installation guide.
  • Get in touch so we can help.

How to View Suggestions

Click View Suggestions to see the suggestions BriefCatch has to offer.

In BriefCatch for Outlook, the matched suggestions are shown in the same panel under the suggestion, as shown in the screenshot below:

You can navigate through each suggestion using the arrows at the top left of the screen, and click the any suggestion to accept and make the change within your email.

The Ignore button will remove the active suggestion, and clicking Ignore All will remove all instances of that same suggestion.

Click the down arrow to expand the explanation and show examples related to the suggestion being offered.
